About
The public discourse in our time has been poisoned. It's been poisoned by an unwillingness to hear unpopular opinions, it's poisoned by name-calling and accusations of ill will, and it's been poisoned by our desire to reduce all opinions and individuals to preconceived labels, and thereby ignore them.

Here at The Thursday Collective, we'd like siphon that poison out, if possible, and maintain a more thoughtful, vigorous, and civil debate amongst the citizenry. We are a number of young men of differing viewpoints, but with a commitment to giving a fair shake to all opinions, a commitment to getting past the labels and stereotypes that have been used to preclude people from participating in discussion, and a distaste for all types of snobbery. We think that the common man ought to be more engaged in the matters philosophical and moral, and that in these realms, his  opinion really does count.
